Gardening for an Extreme Climate

This presentation will explore how the changing climate is impacting the urban landscape. We will discuss the changes you may see in certain insects, diseases, and new plant material as zone 5 moves north. We will cover the effects of native vs. exotic plant selection, limited biodiversity, warming of our cities, and overuse of pesticides and fertilizers. Finally, we will learn how using sustainable practices can mitigate these disruptive factors.
