Description

Location: Third Space, 2930 Lyndale Ave S, Minneapolis

Instructor: Amanda Yadav, owner & operator at Fiddlehead Farm

This class is excellent for home growers who have wanted to try some more flavorful varieties of microgreens that take a bit longer to grow (i.e., basil, cilantro, leek). We will explore different growing mediums (hydroponic mats and coco coir), and there will be time to ask questions about the current varieties and setups folks are using. Some growing experience is recommended but not required.

The class fee includes all materials needed to plant in class: 2 grow trays | 1 dome | standard grow medium | hydroponic mat | coco coir | non-GMO seeds of basil, cilantro, leek, brassica blend

Amanda Yadav, a Minnesota native, grew up in a family of gardeners and started growing microgreens to keep her green thumb in shape during the long Minnesota winters. She now owns Fiddlehead Farm LLC and grows a menu of over 45 different varieties of microgreens for restaurants, co-ops and farmers markets in the Twin Cities area.
