Sowing Seeds Outdoors in the Winter [Online]

“It’s Sow Easy”: Michelle is a Washington County Master Gardener and has taught gardening classes to the community for over 20 years. She is excited about sharing her knowledge and experience sowing seeds outdoors in the winter and spring. This method of growing seeds uses recyclables to make mini-greenhouses. The greenhouses are placed outside in the winter and spring months. Because nature controls the germination of winter-sown seeds, plants are hardier than artificially forced indoor plants.
